Pet Transport Procedure : Step 1

Hi All,

I came across a few friends that really wish to fly along with their furkids during their relocation.
Pets~ be it feline, canine, horse or even rabbit. It has always been a long procedure to bring them from one place to another.

As for canine/feline, the first step an owner need to take note is the health condition (see if ur furkid is fit to fly within that period),by the way, all furkis below 6 months are not allow to fly, however, if you are confident with the health of your pup/ kitten, you can apply for early transport schedule. complete vaccination .. which is antibody.. if your dog is not microchip, you can bring them to animal clinic to get their microchip done as all documentation of pet transport is base on their microchip but not their name or breed.
When all the above are ready.. it is now the time to obtain an import/ export permit from the authority. This is not difficult procedure, however, it really consume a lot of time. If you are flying from KL-KK, the you should browse through http://www.davetsa.gov.my/ to get your import permit. However if you are flying from KK-KL then you need to obtain the import permit at Jabatan Perkhidmatan Haiwan at Jln Perdana, Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. When import permit is obtaind, you have to bring along your furkid for inspection in the authorize clinic for export permit requirement. i.e for Sabah is Jabatan Perkhidmatan Haiwan Sabah, Kepayan.
All this will only cost you less then RM30 .. however, the time spent and queue ... is a sweat ...
Next i will touch on Mas Cargo Reservation and MAS Animal Hotel arrangement. Stay Back :)

Hi Jacq,

You can stay at boutique hotel, namely mercure, radius international, imperial international and also some very pleasant lodge... visit the web on tripadvisors.com to get more detail. Near my shops are mostly housing area, perhaps the nearest boutique hotel is Ceylon Hotel at Citimall.
