7th MKA International Dog show 2009

Judging the dog show this year, it was much lesser breed then i thought before, however with the limited exposure, Baby and I didnt have much fun, first we were kept in a hot back stage room, and secondly, the mka group 7 under Toy Group, we were kept in the room till 2 pm :(

While Baby and me were waiting for our turn the back stage were really busy with handlers grooming their participants.

This is the chow chow resting together with its owner. Chow chow is type of dog that requires cooling environment, with very frequent burshing and grooming.

As everyone is busy with their grooming before entering the ring, it is also time to all dogs lover to socialize and share their knowledge on dogs .

Here are some photos of competition and various breed during inside the ring. As we know, Sabah most favorable dogs are still German Shepherd, Doberman...here are some breed which is barely known in Sabah, the Dachshund,Chow Chow, Siberian Husky, Pomeranian, Golden Retriever as well as Labrador Retriever.

A Dog Show is just like a beauty contest. Every breed has a written standard which is describe what the head , body forelegs, hindlegs, tail placement,etc....of that particular breed should look like. In other words, the breed standard describe what a perfect specimen of a breed should look like, from head to tail....Its also to let a dog to give his best in the show ring.....
