Puppies Progress ( Entering 3rd month )

Hi all,

I have so much to share, sad and happy news.. remember i mentioned about a defect puggy baby? Little Lilo? She just passed away right after the 2nd day of her vaccination. Through out the month, her pace of growing is almost triple time slower then the rest, but she started walking, jumping and even barking back when being bullied. Every time when it comes to drinking mummy's milk, she is the last to reach the nipple, when feeding time, she has to had special treatment in order not to be stepped by the rest of her brothers and sisters. I am so sad that i didn't manage to keep even one of her photos.. she is just too special, and the moment she left, i couldn't even be bother to take picture for documentary. RIP Lilo.

Well for the rest, they are growing fast and healthy. Starting to rebel as they know there is a more exciting world outside there. they are under newspaper potty train
ing, as well as crate training! A great news for all, one of them will go to our Pugslife.org lover, Mom to her royal Royal Muffiness.

Here are pictures of them.. ruscle ones ! Its so difficult to take good pictures, the lick my camera and even trying to scratch my lens, just thinking that anything comes in my hand is food all the time!

"Yes, Photoshoot , I know "

"Let us out ! Let us out!"

"Behind the Bars" ; i can see they have quite of their father face, they have a ruscle face !

Here is the question.. When can i bring them out for socialization?
Till then Pugilicious day ahead !

Puppies Progress

Hi all, these are some progress of puppies after 3 weeks of whelping and tender care from their mother. All eyes open with cute little paws and sniffing sense
is getting stronger.

3 things i notice from their growing progress :-

1) They started to make yanky noice when they are not happy with their mates
2) the also start interacting with their siblings by using their paws, licking their ears
( as picture above)
3) They started to love the Milk powder given my me ( Anamalac ). Their mom is starting to be
more relax and wanting to play with the others ( Pacco , Babe), not so much on feeding them
and sometimes she just couldn't have the patience to feed all of them!

Well, one fine day i came in and saw Pacco was lying down next to the whelping compound. And i laugh myself looking at Pacco ( my Macho Boy) behaving like a mother to the kids :)

Here he is, trying to be a "DAD" however, this son of his was trying to figure out where is the milky bits and what is this big chunk behind here.

As above, this is what happened when their mom is lying down.. everyone attack from left , right, center; all angle is possibilities.

Till Then, Have a pugilicious day ahead !

Registration Of 7 New Born Puppies to MKA (Malaysian Kennel Association)

In Sabah, the trend of having a companion dog is booming. It seems like everyone is looking for an in house dog that can have multi function i.e: take care of the house ( at least bark for alert, companion to kids, wife, therapy to the the elderly..etc etc )

I am not a breeder expert, having this 7 little pug puppies, i am looking for genuine puggy person ( which i think i found them :) ), my main objective is to get them to a good home, so they can have mutual affection towards the furkids and their new home owner. So, i get them microchiped, registered to MKA (Malaysian Kennel Association) and 8 weeks of good whelping with the mother; vicky.

However, getting this registration done whole lot of long procedures, incuring a lot of payment and forms filling. Perhaps this is one of the method of MKA controlling in-quality breeders. But, is it necessary? Or it just authority rules the funding? Here are just general guideline on Puppy Registration :

First and foremost, please ensure that both the parents are MKA registered. As and when they are mated, immediately fill in Form 1 which is the MATING CERTIFICATE for both the husband and wife.
Registration Of Mating Form

When you notice that the Female pug is pregnant, submit another Form 4, named REGISTRATION OF AN AFFIX ( KENNEL NAME). Which means you have started a family chain for your furkids family.Registration Fee : RM100

Registration Of Kennel

The bitch will usually take 2 months to due, when litters are born, take pictures of puppies and Dam ( mummy ) attached Form 2, which is the APPLICATION TO REGISTER A LITTER.
Together with this registration owner will have to made few payments which include registration surcharge, microchips fees and of course miscellaneous such as handling of postage as well as courier service.
Submission Of Pups & Dam pictures
Registration Of Litter
(Goldstar Yaya represents the surname carries down from Pacco)

Once your puppy is registered, they will be entitled with a microchip each to be implanted by certified Veterinary. It take usually 6 months for MKA to Produce the Pedigree certificate, however, a form of pre- certificate will be received as a prove of registration.

This is just a general guideline on submission of litter registration. I hope it gives you an idea how does your puppy being valued and certified.

Have a dogilicious day ahead !

Unexpected 7 New Born Puggyberry from Vicky D Pug

Ever since the outbreak of Parvo Virus that cause the depart of Bruno & Pixie( my first 2 baby pugs), i actually decided to spayed Vicky for her own good. However, since my aunt ( whom is also a pug's lover) decided to give her a chance... OK.. our deal is let her have baby for one more time.. JUST ONE TIME... it seems she knew about it.
She had a good time staying with my aunt.. not only her.. but my other 2 furkids as well , Pacco D handsome and Baby D show pug. They had good food, good play time, good attention and good companion... further more, they have large compound. Despite missing them so much, i guess the nature of Canine" Living in Now" has bring them living in a happier life.As my auntie is a very authentic pet nanny, she has endure Vicky as her QUEEN of pugs.. Vicky was like a queen, she get the first treatment... treats, games, food and even sleeping bed.

Vicky was found pregnant on the 28 August 2010.We were curious if she is really pregnant. She has symptoms that a mother had. Grabbing others food, getting fierce when others trying to get close to her bowl, and very closely following her owner... ( she is very dependent on my aunt )

On the 28th October 2010,Vicky showed her sign of nervousness, she scratched on newspaper, spin around and there were fluid dropping from her anal. and Yes... at 2PM, aunt call me, and told me she is starting to have contraction. Here are some pictures of new born babies... my heart was pounding, my hands fumble while helping Vicky to remove her amniotic sac, cutting off her cord and let her lick baby by herself...

And again.... with the newly born 7 New Puppies, i would like to re play Vicky first delivery video.. as the remembrance of a mother nature.. on handling her own delivery.. RIP.. first batch Puppies Bruno & Pixie..

Have a pugylicious life ahead :) !

Some Insight from BAWA Bali- to SPCA

For the past 5 months, i was stationed in Bali, Indonesia. Yes, a paradise for all... this little goddest island is a total distinct to any other part of Indonesia. In Bali, i
was engaged with BAWA.. following their movement and activities, and involve in
some of their awareness campaign.

BAWA Bali- stands for Bali Animal Welfare Association .BAWA, The Bali Animal Welfare Association is a not-for-profit organization registered in Bali, Indonesia and is dedicated to improving the lives of animals.BAWA's mission is to relieve suffering and overpopulation by providing medical care, spay and neutering, street-feeding and adoption, and by educating children and adults in animal welfare.

It is founded by BAWA was founded by Janice Girardi, an American resident in Bali for over
30 years, and leading Indonesian veterinarian Dr Dewa Made Dharma. This organization has somewhat impress me with their impact on an island like Bali. They have not only reached out the
locals citizens but also to the Australian community, tourist as well as visitors all over the world.

BAWA is located at Forest Monkey, Ubud. It is very much like in TUARAN from Kota Kinabalu Town, People who visited UBUD will definitely aware of the signboard as well as indication of BAWA LOGO around. Their awareness impact is high, they are like little reminder to you when visiting
UBUD...

In Sabah, we have animal rescue too, even well known world wide called SPCA.Check their website :

however, for a small population like Sabah (2.2billion) comparing to Bali (3.1bill) with an estimate about 30,000 ( expatriate), i strongly believe that there will be a w
ay for us to reach an utmost impact to the society on animal cruelty.Perh
aps starts with a mindful set for the Animal lovers..

EAT.SPAY.LOVE
Is one of the slogan used by BAWA. It gives a lot of impact and directly deliver message to the target audiences. Various sector, provide necessary support, Authorities, NGO, Public and even politicians, contribute their bits to the success of BAWA.

When an Island with RABBIES like BALI can do it, Why not us in Sabah..

First and foremost, love your pet...

Grooming your own pet.

We always welcome regular customers.... this is because we have a very minimal charges on maintenance a well groomed dog and its fun to shower them. We empathy dogs that are tangled, Stuck with poop, scratching all the time, teary bushy ears.. this is because when its time to groom, they are gonna shout and show temper.. its pain ..but these are the things that has to be done... Rusty cry during ear plugging, vicky scared of water, Junior hates eye and mustache trimming... but it has to be done.. Here are some tips for you to groom your pet at home.. Lets make it FUN and REGULAR !

Make it FUN!
When you groom your pet, make the experience a fun one. If you’re constantly yelling, swearing, pulling and losing patience with your pet, the animal will only react in fear. If you’re grooming your pet for the first time, keep the session short. Increase the duration with each session and eventually your pet will become accustomed to a longer, fuller grooming. Reward your pet with praise, petting and treats. When your pet knows that a grooming session is one ripe with positive reinforcement, the animal will be more cooperative and less prone to snappish behavior during the grooming.

2) All About Brushing ( 70% brushing 30% Blowing)
Brushing your pet’s coat is one of the most important steps in the grooming regime. Think about how uncomfortable a tangle can get in your own hair, it’s the same for a long haired dog or cat. (Although most cats do self-groom, there are times when a brushing will be needed.) Brushing also removes dirt and spreads the animal’s natural oils through the coat, this helps prevent tangles and keeps the skin clean.
If your pet has long hair, you’ll need to brush daily. Start with a brush that has firm (metal, wood or plastic) bristles, called a slicker brush. Use this to break up tangles and mats. (If your pet is seriously matted, you may opt for a hair cut or shave. Do NOT attempt to break up large mats with a brush as it will only cause your pet pain. Next use a brush with soft bristles to create a shiny coat. Don’t forget your pet’s tail too!

If your pet has short hair, you’ll only need to brush once a week. Use a rubber bristle brush to loosen dead skin and dirt, a softer bristle brush to remove dead hair and then a chamois cloth (yes the same thing you use on your car) to polish your pup. The chamois will remove any left over hair as well as providing a shine to your pet’s coat.

When you brush your pet, try to do it outside, as the hair will be flying! If you can’t do it outside, do it in the bathroom with the door shut and vacuum when you are done. As a pet owner, you know that there’s really no escape for pet hair but brushing your dog in the kitchen or on your couch is just not the greatest idea.n them and getting splashed up with them...

We empahty dogs that are tangled, stucked with dried poo, teary eyes and bushy ears... But these are the things that has to be done, and its not easy too! Rusty is scared of ear hair plug, Vicky is scared of water, Junior loves to splash... but it has to be done...

Here are a few tips for your own pet grooming, make it FUN and REGULAR!

The First Rottweiler In Puppy Central

We usually dont train Guard Dog... especially the aggresive nature kind like Rottweiler, Doberman,German Shepherd or even Chow Chow..

However due to the demand, i ve decided to give it a try for my learning experience, CHOKE... Choke is a Purebreed Rottweiler but has got a very averse behavior.. he is submissive, friendly ( for now) and very responsive... After a few trial of command on him... i ve decided to conduct a full course on him....

Choke is very submissive and adorable... which i m absolutely surprise with his fourth training lesson, he has master the SIT-STAY command.....

Shar Pei- The rare Breed We ve met...

It was such a surprise that we do have Shar-Pei in our state,Sabah.. such a hot yet humid location. A Shar-Pai came visit us today for a bath and nail cutting… and it was really an eye opener to us… His skin was as thick as a piggy skin.. and as coarse as a comodo dragon... he is just as ugly and has double the wrinkle of an ugly pug!

The History of Shar-Pei may have existed in China since 200B.C. At that time, Sharpei were the working breed of peasant farmers, as a guard dog, wild boar hunter and dog fighter. Shar-Pei is self-assured, independent and stubborn. They are devoted to any protective of family and reserved, even suspicious, toward strangers. They can be aggressive towards other dogs.

Shar-Pei needs a long walk or lively romp daily. It has thick wrinkles that need regular attention.

Here are some pictures for everyone... we had fun washing this little rare breed :-

Duke- Gave us an applause

When Duke first came in to Puppy Central.. it was totally no stranger to him.. despite our full house during the new year and holiday season.. Duke was one of the check in furkid in our Pet Inn.

Duke is somewhat hyper but controlable, curious but obedient, and playful yet respondent. We have no trouble in putting him to playpen, letting him out for play time, and even playing with our furkid members here..

Despite his parents annivesary, Duke also havng a good time here in Pet Inn.. he has her fair bit of enjoyment with friends and us too...

After check out from puppy Central.. we receive the sweetest post cards from Duke... Check it out and .. for that i thank a lot for Duke parents...

We miss you Duke- From Puppy Central
